This webinar will provide an overview on the clinical considerations for assessing and treating stimulant use disorders in specific populations. The session will begin with a brief overview of the scope of stimulant use with an emphasis on the prevalence in rural settings. Following this brief review, the presentation will shift focus to a discussion of stimulant use among specific populations, including women, people who inject drugs, men who have sex with men, adolescents, and people with HIV. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies for overcoming barriers to accessing stimulant use disorder treatment in rural areas.
